made it home. rolled in off lake shore drive at sundown, and as i was pulling in, the city fireworks were just starting. parked the bike, watched some explosions, then went straight to murphs soaking wet and full of grime from a 760 mile ride, and sat down and had a bneer with all of my best friends. amazing. couldnt ask for a better ending to a life changing trip. i made it!
