Thursday, June 3rd.
Packin' up the bike today and headin' to Ann Arbor MI to say my farewells to the ole lady.
A good rigorous washdown of the bike should give it a clean template for all the road grime i'm bout to accumulate for the next 4 weeks and 7,000 miles i'll spend on the road.
Today is the sort of lazy start to the trip: packin' bags, washin' bikes, sayin' goodbyes. But tomorrow, well tomorrow is the blast-outa-the-cannon. Lookin' to squash around 650 miles friday, then another 650 Saturday in order to fast forward me to the bosom of the Great Rockie Mountains. From there i'll be takin' it a bit slower with 200-300 mile days planned scootin' through the backroads of Colorado and Utah. Somewhere around Las Vegas i'll hop back on the super slab and boogie my way into L.A. Can't wait.
Goin to try and update this thing via my cellphone every day, so keep your eyes pealed for crapy cellphone shots and 2 sentance updates. waaahoooOOOO!!!
gonna go wash the bike now, see you on the road.
