made it home. rolled in off lake shore drive at sundown, and as i was pulling in, the city fireworks were just starting. parked the bike, watched some explosions, then went straight to murphs soaking wet and full of grime from a 760 mile ride, and sat down and had a bneer with all of my best friends. amazing. couldnt ask for a better ending to a life changing trip. i made it!

been on a mexican food kick lately. yummy. couch surfed with my new buds Niell and Court lastnite. sat round the bonfire and played guitar, and drank 3.2% nevada watered down pbr, but it was just what my road-weary soul needed. hope to get to vegas and lay low outta the desertt heat for a while, then maybe make the 250 mile push to L.A. under the coool cover of nite.

start of day 5 cortez colorado to somewhere on lake powell

made camp last nite near some lake in the middle of no where, national forest land, i believe. sorta spooky at night once i got in the tent and the fire was out.... veeeery quiet. but come sunrise, every aninmal within a ten mile radius wanted to be heard. cows or moose or something were groaning like they were either dying or mating, or both. time to boogie on outta here.
